Frank, you were great. You obviously have the skills and abilities to teach the material and you also seem happy when other people get it too, which made me even more proud of myself when I did get it right.

    Do you offer job placement?

We cannot guarantee job placement because there are too many factors that come into play. However, we will guarantee that you will be fully eligible and prepared to work in any casino card room at the completion of our program. Your instructor is required to make sure you are adequately prepared for your audition.

Is working in a casino fun?

A casino poker room is definitely a fun, safe, and pleasant place to work. Most poker rooms do not allow smoking – unlike other casino areas and table games where cigarette smoke is common. With any work environment, there can be times when you are put under stress. Most guests come to play poker to enjoy themselves and have a good time!

Are there other requirements needed to get hired at a casino after taking the course?

Typically, along with your training certificate, each casino requires you to apply and qualify for a Casino Dealer License which is only issued by the Gaming Control Board within the state you’re in. The general requirements to qualify for a gaming license are:

You must be at least 18 years old. (21 depending on your state.)

You must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

You are able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
